Nine NW Florida Companies Made the 2010 Inc. 5000 List

In 1982, the year my son was born, Inc. introduced the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States.

Meet the Northwest Florida-based Companies who made the 2010 Inc. 5000 List at iTen Wired Summit December 9-10, 2010 in Destin, Florida at the Palms:

Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet and greet the nine companies from Pensacola to Tallahassee that made Inc. magazine's annual list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America, including H2 Performance Consulting, AppRiver, TSA Consulting Group, KaMedData, IMS Expert Services, Avalex Technologies, Bit -Wizards, LearnSomething and Tropical Smoothie Café.

Our DIDXchange is an Inc.com 500 and 5000 application partner since 2005. We recommend all USA-based companies to go ahead and apply for the list even if they do not fully qualify. There are many opportunities to learn and grow on INC.

The basic criteria is at http://www.inc.com/inc5000apply/faq.html. For example, your company's growth revenue for the year before must be at least 2 million dollars.

Was I Wasting Time? Are You 10 or 11 Hours Ahead of Me Now?

Questions we ask ourselves because of Daylight Saving Time...

My workdays are composed of many voice and/or video Internet calls to complete interviews and debates for podcasts and for business development on behalf of my own company or other companies. For me, as of Monday, November 8, 2010, I will have to ask myself when making phone calls to companies in much of Asia, Africa and the Middle East, "Are they one more hour ahead or behind me in time than they were last Friday?"

And then I opened a copy of this book to find a very interesting set of statements that remind me of my Dad's response to "Have a nice day:" "I am offended by your command."

Robertson Davies wrote in 1947 in The Diary of Samuel Marchbanks, "I don't really care how time is reckoned so long as there is some agreement about it, but I object to being told that I am saving daylight when my reason tells me that I am doing nothing of the kind. I even object to the implication that I am wasting something valuable if I stay in bed after the sun has risen."

When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Cry a Little, Laugh a Lot and Keep it UP

When people make negative reference to where you live, where you were born, your gender, lifestyle, culture, religion and other such social and personal characteristics in business, it just makes you and me realize what?

My first thought is ... for example, okay, so I am a white woman, the daughter of a protestant preacher and Vietnam War veteran, the wife of a USA government civil servant employee who works under the Department of Defense ... and I must say, it is true. On one hand, my husband tells me that I have to set my expectations for myself and my company higher than if I were a man. That's not a mystery to me.

My business partner who started Super Technologies, Inc. with me and many of the people in my company are from India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia, but they are also some of the brightest, wisest, hard-working people I have ever met in my life.

I have traveled a lot in my life as a teacher, writer, entrepreneur, and business-owner with the goal to help my customers, number 1, and I do know that people do business differently in each area of the world.

But when I read something like this, after the countless 10-16 hour days that I and everyone in my company work and care for our customers, I admit for few moments that I want to cry.

But I can't. Tomorrow will be a new day.

You can imagine after 11 years of working with a global team to help thousands of voip companies have success with easier, more flexible choice of DID and DDI ... to read such a summary...
