I recommend Max Glucksmann of Comtel Networks. You can reach him on Facebook among his business network there. He will be able to provide you with several global company references including our company. He has resolved problems or created solutions involving fax, SMS, DID, DIDX API and interop, and more.
Message in Spanish for beginners who want to start a voip business and to use DIDX for DID needs:
Saludos,
Max Glucksmann

Noting associations between what appear to be two unlike items. I.E., what VoIP + X might =. I join Garrison Keillor with his quote, "Be well. Do good work and keep in touch."

Interview with Joel Driver, Asterisk Developer and Entrepreneur
Joel Driver first started playing with VoIP in 1995. Today he runs one of the web's most popular call forwarding service at myDivert.com. Listen to our discussion on the DIDX podcasts.
myDivert is a hot spot for startup entrepreneurs who need a local presence in as many as 60+ countries. myDivert makes it easy for its customers to start receiving phone calls from those who are most important to them. Their business partners, potential and current customers, friends and family will make a local call that myDivert's solution will route to where its customers has chosen to forward to ... SIP, IAX2 or a cell phone or landline phone.
Joel shares his experience with a history of his business ventures, what he is doing now that he is most excited about, websites he uses the most, how he as a service provider and experienced Asterisk developer has helped DIDX to improve, and advice he gives to other service providers or carriers who want to use DIDX to buy or sell phonenumbers.
Joel of myDivert.com is a good example of quick understanding of SEM (search engine marketing) and makes good use of tools such as Facebook, blogs, Twitter and Youtube. You can find Joel to business with and learn from by "googling" "buy DID number" or visit http://www.mydivert.com

Judge Businesspeople by Action not Appearance
Some male friends from Cameroon just emailed me this award press release, and the best part about it is Janhavi Dhariwal's words, "It is not at all tough for a woman to make a mark in the society today provided ... They should not be judged by their attires but by the work they do."
I am clapping my hands at the start of this new and hopeful work week!

Puleng Helps the Sociopaths to Responsibility with DID/DDI
Yesterday I listened to the business plan of a young lady from South Africa who just joined www.didx.net. She asked me just to refer to her as Puleng.
So Puleng provides services to mental institutions and psychiatric hospitals around the globe. She plans to add the opportunity for her clients both the patients and their families and the medical staff with local international phone numbers to stay in touch easier such as among hospitals and patient to family.
I asked her what led her to this particular market niche. Puleng said, "My ex-boss was a socio-path."
"What was she like?" I asked.
She replied, "He, not she. Lesedi was also my boyfriend (extramarital affair.) He was devastating to us all. Every step we took forward for the company, he caused it to fall back three. The same with our relationship. I'm not with Lesedi anymore, but I still want to help the mentally ill to get better."
Then Puleng copied this text to me to help me understand a sociopath. The gist of her message to me was that sociopaths do not think they are sociopaths and always think they are having to fight "something" or "someone" who is against them when it would be better if they just took responsibility for their own actions and understand the relationship between their actions and the results that those actions incur.
* Grandiose sense of self-worth
* Superficial charm
* Reckless disregard for the safety of self or others
* Impulse control problems
* Irresponsibility
* Inability to tolerate boredom
* Pathological narcissism
* Pathological lying
* Shallow affect
* Deceitfulness/manipulativeness
* Lack of empathy
* Lack of remorse, indifferent to or rationalizes having hurt or mistreated others
* A sense of extreme entitlement
* Lack of or diminished levels of anxiety/nervousness and other emotions
* Promiscuous sexual behavior, sexually deviant lifestyle
* Poor judgment, failure to learn from experience
* Lack of personal insight
* Failure to follow any life plan
* Abuse of drugs including alcohol
* Inability to distinguish right from wrong
Puleng, I know you are reading my blog. Thank you for sharing your story, and remember, we're here to help you with what I think is a good cause: helping one person at a time toss entitlement and start taking responsibility, whether mentally ill or not.
Tomorrow, Puleng, you can call my South Africa phone number and it will ring my Skype or Gizmo softphone. Would you like to do a teleconference between me and an incumbent telecom who just joined DIDX to sell numbers, Puleng? I think they would be interested to hear from you as one example of the great innovation among members of DIDX.
DIDX is really nobody but the powerful suppliers and innovative entrepreneurial buyers that we serve are the creme de la creme.

Sharing CFMS with a Few Dozen Entrepreneurs
I haven't been blogging nor running much on SuperTec blogs nor my TMCNET blog in the last week because of a four letter acronym CFMS.
We (Super Technologies, Inc.) are in the middle of helping a few dozen new businesses start up with Call Forward Management System. It's quite hectic and enjoyable. DIDX members are often some of the most fascinating entrepreneurs. They are not necessarily from within the IP communications industry. They are often outside of it and see the potential of layering local international phone numbers for what feels like 50 million different reasons. Virtualphoneline is a general example.
I spoke with Jim Van Meggelen yesterday because I needed some inspiration and I want to set up a podcast interview with him soon, and while talking, we agreed that these are the movers and shakers, these entrepreneurs who serve a special market niche in ways that you and I never thought of before.
They choose the CFMS business we offer because it comes with what they have been trying to do manually (which wastes a lot of valuable time) for a few months or even years: sign up, sales, billing, ticketing communications system, fraud prevention tools; reports for call details, sales, past due; ring to options such as Google Talk, MSN instant messenger, PSTN, SIP, IAX2, FWD, Truphone, and the list goes on.
In about 61 minutes, I start the first of 12 CFMS tours, and I can't wait to hear these ladies and gentlemen's business plans which will include using CFMS.
(As an aside, like as if this blog is a diary, I have gained 15 pounds in the past 12 months of travel, sitting at a computer, a reduction of running from 2007 ... 50 miles per week to 2-6 miles per week. It's amazing. I need to get back into running for my physical and emotional health.)

Live in the Los Angeles Area? Come to ITEXPO
If you live anywhere near Los Angeles, I recommend going to http://www.itexpo.com right now before it's too late, sign up for a free expo pass or for a great deal on full conference pass to Internet Telephony West 2008. Message me on Facebook and let me know you'll be there!
A friend of mine on Facebook named Tinu Abayomi-Paul tells everyone that Suzanne's the voIP guru in her network. I think she needs to add Rich Tehrani, Mark Spencer, Rehan Ahmed, or Jeff Pulver (whose birthday is one day before mine, and I have somehow disappeared from his Facebook network a second time ;-) and then Tinu will have a real "Oh Wise One." Thank you much, Tinu, for the praise you gave me on Blog Radio.
I am writing this blog after having had revueltos y cafe muy negro in a park with some homeless people. I really enjoyed talking with them. (See a video of one of my interesting homeless friends in San Jose.) Topic for today... talking on the phone! (I'm in Mexico City seeing Daniel Reyes, CMO for MCM Telecom and Alejandra get married. We met running at Spring VON San Jose 2006. Yes, people who sit at computers to work also might run.)
We all were talking about our careers. My turn? I said that I'm in the business to make sure the people who are important to us start calling us and I also use telephony to help people get jobs and start businesses with the magic of the most special piece of our identity, the telephone number. Many of them had heard of Skype, Yahoo, MSN, Vonage and were curious about other internet-related telephony services.
I demonstrated with my cell phone the services of Celtrek, Truphone, Fring, Gizmo5 and MobileMax. Then with my laptop, I let them try Skype, Virtualphoneline, Groovytel, Comtel Networks, and FWD (a service our company is a corporate sponsor for).
They had so many questions. I referred them to a couple friends in Mexico who are in the voIP business. Who knows? Maybe one of them will startup some new mashup. They're better at thinking out of the box than I am.
Meanwhile, I really meant this blog to be to my friends on Facebook, in Pensacola, Florida; on Linkedin, on Emerald Coast Racing Team, my family (well, they all use Super-phone and Gizmo5), and the world ... the best way to learn...
is to mix in with the brightest minds in telecommunications. Whether you are a consumer, student, entrepreneur, traditional telco, or what?
Sign up now at http://www.itexpo.com to attend the ITEXPO West Sept 16 -18, 2008 next week in Los Angeles, California. If you live anywhere between Silicon Valley and Tijuana or over to Las Vegas, etc... that's a short trip. Learn how to start a new career, check it out.
