No Holds Barred, Mehwish Sattar's Entrepreneurial Spirit
Mehwish Abdul Sattar has a story to tell and thank goodness, she tells it all, the story of a young female in the business world of Pakistan. Her name is pronounced "Suttarr" not "Saddur" like I enunciated it in the beginning.
(Listen to our podcast interview in audio which is available on DIDX and iTunes.)
Interesting fact is that her masters is in Genetics, and look at where she is now ... like Erum Munir and Salma Navaid Jafri, she not only started her own company, but her company helps other people start their own companies.
A friend suggested that she switch to the IT industry. Her first job was an as SEO intern. Then she became a product manager in the same company.
Later she partnered with Pure BPO, a big company in Pakistan, and enjoyed her time. She shares the good and bad which is refreshing. She later told me that the other partners were really smart, and she will always appreciate them and respect them.
she started 3wOgle.com, 3w as in www- world wide web and "Ogle" is a german word means "Creative Vision" so she have a "creative vision on world wide", she has created jobs and employed ten people in her headquarters in Karachi, four more in Lahore, two in Islamabad, one in Georgia and have virtual representatives and employees in different part of the world and her baby 3wOgle is now 3wOgle Group of Companies. She is affiliated with 4 local and 7 international companies.
She thinks back to her own life when her father passed away when she was eight years old and her mother had to work even more to take care of the family. Mehwish started to help her mom in several ways and started teaching after completing her matriculation, so she can help her mom and can bear her education cost too. Now, as Mehwish is rewarded for all hard times she faced and due to her mom's and God's blessings, she is spending a great life. She knows that there are others in Pakistan in the same boat. Mehwish wants to help the talented people who are having those problems to start their own business.
She started a program called SEO Media to help others do a great job assisting businesses get recognized for their great products and solutions and even ... work from home while doing this.
We discussed failure and how we dealt with failure in this podcast. Secondly we talked about another controversial subject ... starting a business, doing well, and then ... well, listen to find out.
Mehwish mentions my business partner and the other co-founder Rehan Allahwala's One Million Businesses program and the fact that she participates in all those events.
She realizes that even if her "graduates" outdo her in the industry, she knows she knows that her reputation just gets better for helping others to start businesses.
Next topic is how to help smart, honest people in developing areas to establish quickly a local presence in other areas of the world via virtual phone numbers.
I like the name of her website 3wogle ... http://www.3wogle.com.
We discuss Linkedin and its value. Connect with Mehwish and me on Linkedin, but I do recommend that if you use Linkedin, make sure you include a profile picture, use your real first name and last name at least, and when people write recommendations for you ... write one for them. :-D
... Share other writing with me at TMC, Techistan, and Twitter, or at global events face to face to develop business and showcase your innovation.

What Job Atmosphere Brings out the Best in You and Everyone
I recently asked a very talented friend who is moving into a new direction in career, "What is the ideal work atmosphere for you to bring out the best in yourself, others in the business, and the company you work for or start?"
All who are interested in connecting with this gentleman about a new career, let me know, and I'll do my best.
Answer: Thank you so much for taking some time for me on Friday. I appreciate your deep-thinking questions for me to consider regarding my next opportunity.
The perfect environment for me would be one that allows me to be empowered to make decisions imperative to customer satisfaction. I appreciate the roles I have had that allowed me to be entrepreneurial in terms of taking control of my customer relationships and to build my business.
While "sales" has always been my key function, I am up for any role that allows me to engage with the customer, build and foster relationships and ultimately build a pipeline of loyal customers to ensure my company is successful.
I love telecom, but I am skilled in so much more. I have a strong background in local area networks, wide area networks, network security, expense management, software and hardware. I have taught networking technologies as adjunct faculty. Currently, I am learning Java and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
The size of the company does not matter to me. I would be interested in a ground floor opportunity with a start-up or a key role in a well-established organization or something in the middle. The key is that I must be allowed to be a contributor; to the bottom line business development and sales, and to the culture of the company.

Dust Yourself Off and Try Again
Feeling a bit ignored? Not recognized? A failure? Laughed at? I've been through so many of those times in my life where I started a business, it didn't work out... I started a new career and something went wrong... but I just keep thinking about Zig Ziglar's quote that Jonathon Hewitt (SEO expert) reminded me of today: "Other people and things can stop you temporarily. You're the only one who can do it permanently."
There is much experimentation, change, and chaos in the telecommunications industry right now, but it's exciting. You have so many online tools and so much more clout as an SMB and as a user! Users are actually driving all the change because of the opportunities that the Internet in general and online social networking tools offer.
Would you give up? Or try again?
From Aaliyah...
"And if at first you don't succeed
Then dust yourself off and try again
You can dust it off and try again, try again
Cause if at first you don't succeed
You can dust it off and try again
Dust yourself off and try again, try again"
Check out a new career, revenue, market, business of owning your own brand of CFMS (call forward management) where you rebrand http://www.virtualphoneline.com and Super Technologies hosts it. We also offer the choice of becoming a Reseller. The globe of consumers and businesses are hungry to have a local presence all over the world without having to own a home or open a business there. Give them a virtual phone number in any of up to 50 countries so they can start receiving phone calls from the people in those international areas right away. They can put their new international phone numbers on their business cards, on their website, on their social networking portal sites, and more. It's more than a status symbol! Contact sales@virtualphoneline.com.
